How do I apply for loans?

Solution

If you are a first-time borrower at PCCC, you must complete the steps outlined below:

Complete Entrance Counseling on the Federal Student Aid Website (studentaid.gov)
Complete a Master Promissory Note on the Federal Student Aid Website (studentaid.gov)
Review the limits on how much you can borrow.
Submit the Federal Direct Loan Request Form for the appropriate aid year.

You can scan and email the Loan Request Form to fa@pccc.edu or fax to (973) 279-5337.

If you have already borrowed a Federal Direct Loan at PCCC, you will not have to complete Steps 1 and 2 from the list above.
If you borrowed a Federal Direct Loan at another school within the last 10 years, you will not need to complete another MPN; however, you will need to complete Entrance Counseling.
