Panther Alert Emergency Communications Guide
If you want to receive text messages and calls, please ensure your mobile number is listed as a contact method and that text messaging and calling is enabled.
Passaic County Community College uses Panther Alert to send communications during emergencies or weather-related closures. Please log in to verify that your contact information is correct, or complete account setup if you are a first-time user. It is important to sign in at least once a semester to ensure your information and notification preferences remain accurate.
Step-by-step guide
Login to your My PCCC account via the main PCCC website at pccc.edu
From the left-hand menu, select Everyday Tools (you may need to click Show more)
Click Panther Alert option listed under Everyday Tools
Sign in using your school/portal credentials
If you are unable to sign in or do not have a profile, please contact IT Support
If this is the first time signing in to Panther Alert, you will be prompted to complete your account setup.
In the Personal Information page, click Continue at the bottom of the page
In the then select Finish Signup
Once signed in, confirm that your contact methods are up to date.
Updating Contact Information:
If you need to update your personal contact methods (email or phone number):
Students: update your personal information through Self-Service under everyday tools. See instructions here
Staff: update your personal contact information in ADP
Notification Preferences:
To manage how you receive alerts, you may select or deselect the following options under your contact or personal information. Click Edit Profile and once you have updated your notification preferences, click Save Finish

SMS/Text
Call
SMS Incapable
Viewing Emergency Messages:
To view previously sent emergency messages:
Navigate to My Groups.
Select Panther Alert – Emergency & Safety Alerts.
On the group page, click Sent Messages.
Be sure to sign in each semester to verify that your contact information and notification preferences are accurate.
