New Student Information

Welcome to PCCC!

As a new student at PCCC, you are granted a PCCC Account. This account provides access to important online services and on-campus resources.

Please follow the steps below to activate your PCCC Account and learn more about available technology services.

Step 1 - Activate your PCCC Account for the first time

Step 3 - Access the My PCCC Portal

The My PCCC portal is your digital campus and the primary way you access important college services and information.

You may access the portal directly by browsing to https://my.pccc.edu or by going to the PCCC web site and clicking on the My PCCC link (see below).

It is recommended that students download the Panther Go App from the App Store or Google Play Store.

Step 4 - Explore important My PCCC portal links

On the left navigation bar, you will find a section called “Tools”. This has links to important services such as the online learning management system (Blackboard Learn), and Student Self-Service.

Self-Service

Students will find access to the following services when using Self-Service:

  • Class Schedule and Academic Planning

  • Registration

    • You must meet with an Academic Advisor to discuss your schedule and ensure you are taking the courses appropriate to your major.

    • Online registration is only available to current students in good standing.

  • Grades

  • Financial Aid - including award letters and documents needed for verification

  • Pay and View Bills

It is recommended that students download the Panther Go App from the App Store or Google Play Store. This app gives students access to the above services on a mobile device. Go to http://pccc.edu/panthergo for download information.

 

Microsoft 365

As an enrolled student, you gain access to Microsoft 365 online services. These include:

  • Outlook email and calendar

  • OneDrive for file storage and sharing

  • Downloadable version of the Office 365 suite (i.e., Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook) *

  • M365 Copilot Chat

  • and more.

*Only licensed for use while an enrolled student.

Blackboard Learn

Blackboard Learn is the online service used to access your courses, assignments, text books, and other information posted by your instructors.

Panther Alert

Panther Alert is the emergency notification system used by the college. Sign in to ensure your contact information is accurate and to adjust your notification preferences, especially if you are coming back to PCCC after a break in classes.

Step 5 - Review important account use information

By using your PCCC account, you agree to abide by the College’s policy for Acceptable Use of Network, IT Resources, and Facilities.

 

E-mail Account

  • Student email accounts are granted after registration.

  • E-mail is the official form of communication for the college and students are responsible for the information sent to their Student Email Account (@students.pccc.edu).

  • Important Billing, Financial Aid, Registration, and Academic information will be sent to this email account.

  • It is recommended that students add this email account to their mobile devices.

    • Download the Microsoft Outlook App from the App Store or Google Play.

    • Add your PCCC Student email account and stay on top of your college communications.

 

Protect your PCCC Account

Your PCCC Account grants access to your classes, communications, billing and payment services, and more. It is important that you protect your username and password.

Here are some tips:

  1. Never share your username and password with anyone (even PCCC employees).

  2. Make use of multiple methods for multifactor authentication

  3. Logout of browser sessions on shared computers (e.g., Library). Do not just close the browser - click on LOGOUT.

  4. Beware of scam emails prompting you to take action. Learn about Identify phishing attacks and e-mail scams.
