Problem

If I drop a class, will I have to pay back my financial aid?

Solution

Financial aid students who drop or withdraw from classes prior to census date will have their financial aid prorated based on number of registered credits.

If you... your financial award should not change:

  • maintain the same level of enrollment and credits
  • make this change before the end of add/drop and can ‘add’ a course with the same amount of credits

If a student withdraws from all classes after the census date, financial aid will be calculated based on the R2T4 Policy for withdrawals.

(Financial Aid > R2T4)

  1. Census date is the 10th day of enrollment of the semester
  2. After the census date, financial aid will be calculated based on the R2T4 Policy for withdrawals.
