Problem

If I drop a class, will I have to pay back my financial aid?

Solution

Financial aid students who drop or withdraw from classes prior to census date will have their financial aid prorated based on the number of registered credits.

Your financial award should not change if you:

  • maintain the same level of enrollment and credits
  • make this change before the end of the add/drop period and can add a course with the same amount of credits

If a student withdraws from all classes after the census date, financial aid will be calculated based on the Return of Title IV Funds Policy for withdrawals.

Census Date

  • The Census date is the 10th day of enrollment of the semester.
  • After the census date, financial aid will be calculated based on the Return of Title IV Funds Policy for withdrawals.
