Problem
How do I apply for loans?
Solution
If you are a first-time borrower at PCCC, you must complete the steps outlined below:
- Complete Entrance Counseling on the Federal Student Aid Website (studentaid.gov)
- Complete a Master Promissory Note on the Federal Student Aid Website (studentaid.gov)
- Review the limits on how much you can borrow.
- Submit the Federal Direct Loan Request Form for the appropriate aid year.
You can scan and email the Loan Request Form to fa@pccc.edu or fax to (973) 279-5337.
Please Note
- If you have already borrowed a Federal Direct Loan at PCCC, you will not have to complete Steps 1 and 2 from the list above.
- If you borrowed a Federal Direct Loan at another school within the last 10 years, you will not need to complete another MPN; however, you will need to complete Entrance Counseling.
